Suspect accused of body slamming man on concrete arrested on attempted murder charge

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A man was arrested on a cost of attempted next-degree murder just after authorities say he overall body slammed a guy on concrete, knocking him unconscious.

Brody Hurst was arrested and booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on Tuesday, Could 3.

According to arrest documents, on March 5, 2022 all over 3 a.m., a victim mentioned Hurst showed up at an apartment intricate located at 4005 Nicholson Push.

The target reported that he encountered Hurst just after getting into the safety gate of the complicated and that the pair had been not on speaking terms.

Baton Rouge Police say the target claimed right after entering the gate, Hurst grabbed the male by the neck and body slammed him on to the concrete, knocking him unconscious.

Cell telephone footage captured some of the incident, police say.

A witness to the incident was interviewed by law enforcement on April 5.

The witness said Hurst and the sufferer agreed to meet up with up to resolve troubles amongst them.

The witness told police that a crowd of folks, together with Hurst, could be observed inside of the stability gate at the condominium complex.

As soon as the sufferer entered the stability gate, the witness says Hurst grabbed the sufferer and slammed him to the ground. The witness went on to explain to law enforcement Hurst began stomping the target in the head and torso as he lay unconscious.

The witness also said she experienced to pull Hurst off of the victim with the assistance of yet another person. The witness reportedly advised Brody that she was calling police, resulting in Brody to end and flee the scene.

Arrest documents element the witness took the sufferer to a nearby medical center.

A bone in the victim’s face bought damaged and he endured bleeding on the mind, reports say.
