Cassie Carli’s body found buried in shallow grave in Alabama, ex-boyfriend to face charges
NAVARRE, Fla. (WALA/Gray Information) – Investigators reported Cassie Carli was located buried in a shallow grave inside of of a barn in Alabama.
The Santa Rosa County sheriff stated the discovery was produced late Saturday evening immediately after they executed a search warrant in St. Clair County outside the house of Birmingham.
An autopsy will be performed on Monday to establish the bring about of loss of life, WALA experiences.
The Navarre, Florida, mom was previous witnessed alive on Sunday, March 27, when she achieved with her ex, Marcus Spanevelo, to swap custody of their little one. Sheriff Bob Johnson said he expects murder prices to be submitted towards Spanevelo.
The sheriff said Spanevelo has a link to the residence in which Carli’s body was found, but he would not reveal what led them to look for the barn.
Spanevelo is in jail in Tennessee exactly where he was arrested on Saturday on expenses of tampering with proof, providing fake information relating to a lacking individuals investigation, and destruction of proof.
Johnson reported Spanevelo has been uncooperative with investigators during the situation, and he expects him to struggle extradition.
The sheriff explained Carli’s four-yr-aged daughter was found unharmed and is now in a safe natural environment.
